Bob Dylan and the Band lived and worked here and wrote their most memorable songs in the local cafes and homes. And the Woodstock Mountains Revue, which began in the 1970’s, was a revolving collective of skilled and like-minded musicians, many of whom are still in town. Together they represent the birthing of the Americana music genre and personify the Woodstock community spirit, which Bearsville hopes to embody. We are proud to develop the Americana style of design using the Hatch Print techniques of lino cut and screen printing to produce our high quality and memorable posters.
The Bear face – Ursa americana live all around us in Bearsville. We celebrate their neighborliness as part of the awe-inspiring natural world of the Catskills in our black and white poster with a cheeky face amidst the decorative flourishes of Americana design.
